Paul Adamson - RYA/MCA Ocean Yachtmaster Examiner & Instructor - Principal Sailing West

Paul Adamson is the principal of Sailing West. He is a fully qualified and experienced professional skipper. Paul is 32 years old and has logged over 165,000 professional nautical miles.

Paul examines for the RYA. This includes their Certificates of Competence for Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster Offshore & Yachtmaster Ocean. Over the past 12 years Paul has built his experience by working with many prestigious yachting companies including Oyster Marine Ltd, Plas Menai – Welsh National Watersports Centre, Clipper Ventures Plc and many RYA Recognised Training Centres.

Paul teaches using the medium of fun as a base and you always see Paul's crews with smiles as big as Cheshire Cats across their faces!

Paul is a keen yacht racer and has won many prestigious events including the Swan Worlds in 2008 and Oyster Regattas in Valencia, The British Virgin Islands and Palma. Closer to home he came 3rd in a large SB3 fleet in Cork Week 2008 and 5th in the J109 European Championship. Paul runs our team of highly experienced, professional yachting instructors and race coaches who have sailed , raced and trained students and yachting teams world-wide. The high level of instruction at Sailing West is what attracts our international customers and sets us apart from our competition.
