Sailing West

Christian has been sailing for over 30 years and started his instructional career back in 1987.  He has gathered a vast experience ranging from traditional gaffers to modern sailing and motor yachts. 

He is an RYA/MCA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor Examiner (Sail & Power).  This allows Christian not only to teach and examine for the whole of the sail and power scheme but also Christian trains and examines Yachtmaster Instructors for the RYA.  

His wide and varied experience has led him to becoming a relaxed, friendly but very efficient instructor. His modern teaching techniques combined with a great sense of seamanship will stretch anyones comfort zone yet his unique instructional style with deliver to the student the knowledge and skills they require. Christian believes that “Knowledge dispels fear”.
